YouTube Levels the Playing Field

Old TV CommercialIn today’s word of DVR’s, when was the last time you watched a commercial on TV? Personally I’ve become a pro at the art of the commercial fast-forward! Even the Super Bowl this year, where ad space is sold at ridiculously high prices, and the game is almost secondary to the ads, I felt let down and found myself wishing I could have skipped the commercials. The eyes of consumers have radically shifted away from traditional methods of product bombardment. This is where YouTube comes in and turns the whole dynamic on its head! Imagine a space where not only you do not skip the commercials… you seek them out!

Today, I had the opportunity to listen to Jeff Harmon and Austin Craig tell the amazing story behind OraBrush and how a little idea that started right here in Provo, Utah has become a YouTube sensation!

Check out their YouTube Channel and all of their great commercials! Don’t miss the tongue beating up on the peewee football players!
