NARdiGras Day One Recap

It was an exciting and informative day one at NARdiGras. Here’s a recap of my day, hope yours was as great as mine!

Entrepreneurial Excellence Series – Leadership Notes from Archie Manning’s Playbook

Archie Manning’s thoughts on leadership were both entertaining and inspiring, you’d expect nothing less from the father of two Super Bowl MVP’s as well as a former NFL great himself! Some of my favorite comments from Archie Manning:

“The country needs NAR and its REALTORS to be leaders!”
“No matter the size of the storm, the sun will always shine after it passes.”
“The bigger the challenge, the greater the opportunity for success.”
“Set goals like a leader. If you don’t manage your goals someone else will!”

Embracing Consumer Generated Agent Reviews

This session was phenomenal! Led by NAR Social Media Manager Todd Carpenter, panelists: Margie Dorrance, Bob Hale, Larry McGee, Larry Romito, and Jay Thompson discussed what consumers want and expect from online agent reviews. It is very clear that the Houston Association of REALTORS has figured out this controversial topic! Key points from this session include:

Online agent reviews are happening with or without us. I suggest you make it ‘with’!
The thing about online agent ratings… You are currently being rated whether you know it or not!
Consumers want agent reviews, are we going to give it to them, or let someone else do it instead?
If we don’t do agent reviews it will just go away… That’s not the case!
If it is worth doing you measure it!
No one behaves their best in the dark… Let’s bring agent ratings into the light!

Real Estate Road Warrior with Shannon Williams King

What can I say about Shannon… She’s just plain and simply amazing. You need to put this session on your to do list in the future! Shannon covered a plethora of applications, programs, tools etc. to make your real estate life easier and more cost effective. Look for Shannon’s book at the NAR bookstore. Some of those tools include:

Fiverr.com
Dropbox

Shoeboxed.com

REALTORS Expo Grand Opening
