Anything Worth Doing Is Worth Measuring
Imagine for a moment our world without measurements. No time, no size, no distance, etc… It would certainly be a “different” world! It’s funny how we spend so much time measuring things, and yet so many enter the social media space and expect results without measuring anything! Thankfully there are some cool analytics out there, such as Klout, Hootsuite, and of course Google. A new player has just entered this realm and I’m quite impressed. I’d like you to meet: Twenty Feet
While Twenty Feet doesn’t give you a score like Klout, they do give some in depth analysis that I have found missing in most other social media analytic services. The charts can be adjusted for time periods as well as specific metrics.
Currently you can monitor one Facebook and one Twitter account for free. Their paid service is $2.49/year for each additional account. You can also monitor YouTube, Bit.ly, MySpace, and Google Analytics accounts. They are in the process of surveying their users as to what other accounts they should service and in what order they add them.
So if you are serious about social media, then you should be serious about measuring your effectiveness. How many tweets did you send yesterday? How many retweets did you get? How many new friends did you gain or lose? Twenty Feet is ready to answer all of these questions and so much more!
Check out their video which does a much better job explaining their great service than I do! Also, send me a tweet or leave a comment as to what you think about Twenty Feet and their analytics.
